The good news is they don’t have to.

My sessions are relaxed and flexible, and some of the best photos happen in the in-between moments. Kids can move, explore, cuddle in close or take a break when they need to.

Newborn Photography for Altona Families

The first few weeks with a new baby often pass in a blur. Days seem to revolve around feeding, sleeping, cuddling and figuring things out as you go. It’s a beautiful chapter, but also one that disappears far more quickly than most parents expect.

My newborn photography studio is located just minutes from Altona, making it an easy and stress-free option for local families wanting to preserve these early memories.

With a relaxed, baby-led approach, newborn sessions are designed to feel calm and comfortable. There is plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles, with no pressure for your baby to behave a certain way or sleep on cue.

When should I book my newborn session?

The best time to book is during your second trimester or early in your third trimester.

Your actual session date isn’t locked in until baby arrives.

Booking early simply reserves space around your due date.

How old should my baby be?

Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the first 1-4 weeks after birth.

What if my baby won’t sleep?

That’s completely okay.

My sessions are baby-led and allow plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles.

Beautiful photographs don’t depend on a perfectly sleepy baby.

Can parents and siblings be included?

Absolutely.

In fact, I encourage it.

These photographs are about your family, not just your baby.

What should we wear?

You’ll receive styling guidance before your session and access to my studio wardrobe, making outfit planning simple and stress-free.

How long does a newborn session take?

Newborn sessions are completely unhurried and allow plenty of time for feeding, settling, changes and breaks as needed.

Most sessions take around 2 hours so everything can flow naturally without pressure or rushing.

How far is your studio from Altona?

My studio is located in Altona Meadows, approximately 5–10 minutes from Altona depending on traffic, making it an easy and quick trip with a newborn.
